Sooo.....Fire sucks! Especially when it's in your kitchen!!!!! Our house is a war zone now that we had a fire in the kitchen yesterday. We are all safe. I have some small but deep burns on my fingers from running out of the house with a burning pot that was on the stove and from putting out that flames with my hands. Angela has a large burn on her leg from the pot bouncing off her leg as I threw it outside in the front of our house. I threw the burning pot onto the front steps and she crossed in front of me at the same time. Large burn on her leg, but luckily not deep. We were both down stairs while Ariana was upstairs sleeping. Ang had put a pot to boil with some of Ari's bottles to sterilize them and forgot about it. The scary thing is that Ari was literally on the other side of the same wall that was on fire!!!! The whole upstairs was full of black smoke but Ari's door was almost completely closed so she didn't get a lot of smoke in her room (THANK GOD). We all were taken to the hospital to get checked out. I had x-rays on my lungs because I breathed in a lot of smoke (when I was in the house for a while opening the windows).

3 fire trucks and an ambulance were all parked in front of our house. Neighbors were all over here checking out what happened.

Main thing is that we are all safe!!!

Talked to our insurance company, met the insurance adjuster here this morning, they're going to be here tomorrow morning to start cleaning up and removing what can't be repaired.

The good thing is that everything that is in place for these things worked the way they were supposed to work.

The smoke detectors went off (which is how we knew something was wrong).
The alarm company called to check if things were ok or not (the smoke detectors are connected to the alarm).
The circuit breaker tripped (for the oven hood/vent - wires are melted and shorting out).
The fire department was here very quickly.
And now the insurance co. is doing what's needed to get our lives back to normal.

True.
Here are a couple pics.

Again, this could have been much worse if the smoke detectors didn't do their job. I was able to stop the fire from spreading before it got too serious.
The hole is the wall was from the firefighters making sure that the fire hadn't spread inside the wall. They also checked the attic.
