what other option do i have ?

I do alot of online buying and selling. You can use the big courier companies eg UPS, Fedex, DHL but it's generally not worth the time and money. Depending how big it is(Canada post has restrictions) canada post will be the easiest and cheapest.

Just box the item up, put the address on it and go to your local canada post office and they will weigh it and tell you how much it is going to cost. Once you pay they give you a tracking number. Then your all sweet!
